Recording working hours is mandatory

Article 34.9 of the Estatuto de los Trabajadores (Spanish Workers' Statute) requires companies to record each employee's daily start and finish times and to keep those records for four years, available to staff, their representatives and the Labour Inspectorate. Billivo Control Horario helps you keep that record organised and easy to consult.

Frequently asked questions about Billivo Control Horario

What is time tracking software?

It is a tool to record employees' working hours digitally. With Billivo Control Horario, each person clocks in, takes breaks and clocks out, requests absences and holidays, and the company has all the information organised in a single system.

Is it mandatory to record working hours in Spain?

Yes. Article 34.9 of the Estatuto de los Trabajadores requires companies to record each employee's exact daily start and finish times and to keep the records for four years, available to staff, their representatives and the Labour and Social Security Inspectorate.

Can my employees clock in from their phone?

Yes. They can clock in from the iOS and Android app or from the browser, whether at the office, on the road or at different workplaces.

Can I manage holidays and absences?

Yes. Employees request and view their absences and holidays from the app, and the company manages the team's requests from the same system.

Can I check where people clock in from?

Yes. The company chooses the geolocation mode that applies to all employees, including the option to turn it off, and can create workplaces with a radius within which a clock-in counts as made at that workplace.

What if someone forgets to clock in or makes a mistake?

From the calendar and the clock-in history, the company can correct, add or delete a clock-in so the record reflects the actual working day.

Can I export the time records?

Yes. You can filter by period and by employee and download an Excel report with clock-in details and a summary of hours.

Which plan do I need?
